New Pair of Eyes
Living with a grateful heart takes determination and “new eyesight”. Awhile back, God impressed on me to start a Book of Blessings. Well, I was sure He wanted to teach YOU something….wrong! Once again, He’s working on Melissa. It could be because I’ve asked Him to give me a heart like Brother Lawrence who spent every day in the Presence of God while doing life as usual! After several days of listing the blessings I was surrounded by, I realized that my vision was changing! R…emember Superman and his x-ray vision?! Well, God has been helping me change my perspective and see through the junk to reveal His heart. Good example. Yesterday, I was babysitting one of the grandkids and he was a doll…sweet, loving, funny, a real joy, well behaved until it came time for a nap and he flipped a switch! Frazzled grandma for sure for about 10 minutes out of a glorious day. This morning, God reminded me that He put a strong will in that young man for a reason…one day, it will be his strength in the kingdom! Blessings are often hidden by a “flipped switch”. NOW grandma knows exactly how to pray for that grandson. What we see as weakness will someday become a strength under the strong hand of God!
