Just Do Good

I once read that “Best is the enemy of good”. Oftentimes, we don’t try because we’re afraid that we won’t do things perfectly. Most of the time people aren’t looking for us to be perfect. You never know how your imperfections may minister to someone else and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone. Don’t worry about best, just do good. Terra Milner

My Tribe

The reason life works at all, is because not everyone in your tribe is depressed on the same day. Have you ever noticed that on the day you feel lower than a snake’s belly, someone in your tribe makes you laugh out loud? Triggers

Let’s talk about triggers. If we’re honest, we know it’s easier to avoid temptation than resist it. That’s why keeping a cabinet full of “chocolate triggers” when you know you can’t stay out of it is a bad idea when you’re on a diet. Making plans to hit the bars when you’ve been sober for a year is a bad idea. When you have a person who takes you to a place of gossip or anger, going around them is a bad idea. Recognize triggers for what they are…temptations just waiting to take you back into bondage.

You’re Tough

Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. This year has been a challenge. But you’re no quitter. You don’t let life get you down. You don’t mumble and complain. Through the last few months, we have learned one thing: Never take anything for granted. It may not be here tomorrow!
