Christ or the Crowd
In the book of Psalms, chapter 1, God is showing us a way to walk in the blessings of life. It says “Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in that law does he meditate day and night.” In life we all have to make a decision that will change the course of our lives forever. Are we going to run with the crowd or walk with God? We can’t do both. You see, every one of us has a divine appointment with God and He will call us at a moments’ notice to let us know when He wants to talk with us or send us on an assignment. As long as we’re running with the crowd, we’ll miss that voice, His voice. In life, there are three voices. The voice of God, the voice of Satan and the voice of people (including you and me). We have to learn to shut out every voice but His. It’s the only one that will lead us to our intended destiny. One more thing. If we will become like those we hang with, the crowd or Christ, which will it be? You see, what you set your eyes on will have a huge impact on your life. Guard your time with Him. It’s precious! And if we choose God and His Word, let me tell you the rest of the story. The Bible says in Psalm 1:3, “You will be like a tree that’s planted by the river bank and you will bear fruit in season” But the very best part says this: “you will prosper in everything you do.” Want to live a life full of joy and peace, laughter and fulfillment? Choose God, not the crowd.
