  If nobody notices the things you’ve done, don’t lose heart. The sun puts on an amazing show every morning at daybreak and most people sleep right through it. If people miss the display of God’s beauty, they can also miss the display of your goodness, kindness, generosity and love. Let’s face it, God created the sun to shine and He created us to do the same. And whether anybody else notices really doesn’t matter. We know Creator God notices and says: It is good!!

Sometimes we think that the pain of loneliness is unbearable. Think about this: it’s not always loneliness that’s the problem, it’s the feeling of being rejected. When friends don’t call, when the church folk don’t talk to us, when we’re not included in group conversations, when we go to a restaurant and no one asks us to sit with them…so many ways to be included and exactly the same amount of ways to be rejected. I’m praying for you today.

Sometimes when you think things are falling apart, they might just be falling into place. I know it hurts. I know it doesn’t make sense. I know that you feel out of control and life is spinning. That’s the bad news. Here’s the good news. When you’re out of control and spinning, that’s exactly when God can step in. You let go and He grabs hold. I think the best part of God is that He picks up the pieces and makes a masterpiece when He puts your life back together. Everything has purpose in God’s kingdom…even the pain.

A ship is always safe at shore but that’s not what it was created for…you’re always safe in your Sunday morning pew but that’s not what you were created for! You were meant to take this Gospel into all the world. How do you do that? Feed the hungry, love the unlovable, clothe the naked, visit the prisoners…reach out beyond your comfort zone and you’ll see exactly what you were created for!!

  Don’t let past bitterness ruin present blessings. It’s true that the past has made a mark on your heart and left to its own devices, the mark will get bigger and bigger. How does it do that? Every time your mind drifts back to the pain, every time you rehearse the thoughts that drag you down and every time you choose to live in “yesterdays” regrets and shame, bitterness can take root. The worst part about bitterness is that it “colors” todays blessings with the wrong brush. Choose to live in todays blessings. So many of them are in your life…take time to recognize them.

    You are today where you are because of the words you have been speaking over your life…Too many of us just say anything that comes into our mind. What we fail to comprehend is that there is a connection between our words and our future. Words carry great power. Speak in agreement with God’s Word. When we win the battle over our words, we win the battle over our life.
