Our beliefs don’t make us a better person. Our behavior does. Our behavior should follow our beliefs. If we believe that people are to be kind and we spend our time being UNKIND, something’s wrong. If we believe that prayer changes things but we never take time to pray, nothing changes. Want to be a better person…line up your beliefs and behavior. If we don’t, we’re living a hypocritical life.

  ”If you spend too long holding on to the one who treats you like an OPTION, you’ll miss finding the one who treats you like a PRIORITY.” This is true in every area of our life…romance, friendship, business…you name it. Nobody wants to be #2 if #1 doesn’t work out. Nobody wants to be considered a last resort. Want to know if you’re someone’s priority? Sit with someone who keeps talking on the cell phone while you wait for them to remember you’re there. Trust me…you’re just an OPTION…and they chose their priority when they hit “answer”.

  What does everybody have that nobody else wants? An opinion. Opinions are a dime a dozen…When we have an opinion, it’s amazing how we suddenly think we’re brilliant and have the answers to everybody else’s problems. Kind of a shame that we don’t have the answers to our own. Be careful who you give an opinion to…they may just look at your life, see how you’ve handled it and walk off laughing.

  Are you tired of trying to figure out who is with you, against you, or walking down the middle because they don’t have the guts to back a friend? Life is too short to leave the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket. Stop trying to find out who has one face or two. Stop trying to figure out what you can do to change their mind. Don’t give the key to your heart to people who don’t look at it as a treasure.

    ”At the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought but what we BUILT; not what we got, but what we SHARED; not our ability but our CHARACTER: not our success but our SIGNIFICANCE. Live a life that matters. Live a life of love”. Building, sharing, loving…making a difference in the lives of others. Let’s leave planet earth better than when we came. Feed the hungry, visit the prisoners, cloth the naked, save the whales! You choose what you do…just leave it better.

When times get tough, what do you reach for? Your Kleenex or your sword? Kleenex’s are for victims and swords are for those determined to be a victor. Your choice. I don’t know about you but I cry “ugly”: red nose, swollen eyes…just not pretty. At least if I’m under attack by the devil, I’m going to look good with my sword (BIBLE) in my hand. No Kleenex for this girl! I’m out to win this battle. How about you?
