Random Thoughts??
Ever had thoughts that just “came” to you in the night and then you jot them down in the morning? I used to think these were random in nature back in 2009. Now I realize they were sweet reminders from the “Spirit” within. If I may share some thoughts of divine wisdom that “came” to me: 1. Don’t take the path of least resistance. 2. Make the most of every opportunity 3. Grow in faith and knowledge…LISTEN! 4. Pay attention to body, Spirit, Truth and Grace! Blessings…Gayle Harrell
Overthinking?
Guilty of overthinking? Are you going over conversations you’ve had with people and trying to second guess what they were REALLY saying? Do you rehearse words you’ve said and wonder if someone took it wrong? Stop it! You’re overthinking. This isn’t from God. Its insecurity and it’s fueled by Satan. Start speaking good things over yourself and forget what you THINK others might be speaking.
You’re Breathing!
If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance. Another chance to what? LIVE! In living, we have another chance to laugh, to love, to make a difference in someone’s life, to visit a friend, to climb a mountain. Make it count! You woke up breathing, so go for it!!
I Love You
“The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid.” I believe in saying those words before it’s too late. My favorite words to speak and hear are “I love you”. Just because we said something in 1999 doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be repeated. Maybe we need to make it a habit to say “I love you” at least once a day…to a child, to a spouse, to the person who went above and beyond, to a friend who’s always there for us! Look around, open your mouth and just say it! No doubt, we’ll be glad we did!
Saying Yes! No Excuses!
When the Spirit speaks…are you listening? Oh yes…I heard; “Get in the Word.”…loud and clear! Did I obey? Just like so many of the people in the biblical times…I whined…gave all kinds of excuses such as: “I don’t have time”…with all the “rules and regulations” to keep up with at work. “After all Lord, I go to church every Sunday that I’m not working, I read the one verse from my devotion book almost daily, I pray to and from work for my patients, families and co-workers.” “Oh Lord…what to do…when no longer able to meet the demands of my job?” Well, finally placing my future in your hands…that act of “submission”…we so struggle with! Little did I know…he had a second calling for my life! Now 13 ½ yrs. a stroke survivor…He has given me plenty of “time” to study His Word. As I read in Psalm 119:71; “it was good for me to be afflicted”… with this stroke. No God did not cause the stroke…he brought me through it!!! Satan, the deceiver, will lie…causing one to become “self-deceived”…I have been there…that’s why it is SO IMPORTANT that we “get in God’s Word”…to learn His Truths! Attend a…
Giving
Giving is an action word. It takes action on our part to fulfill the giving of something to another. It can be giving of our time to help a friend in need, money to a charity, clothes to someone that’s without. God can ask of us to give of something that might a little hard to give up…but remember God blesses the cheerful giver. (Sara Buchanan)
