Don’t Need Dr.Phil
Would your family give Dr. Phil a run for his money? Would HE need a therapist if he tried to get things straightened out? Never fear…you don’t need a Dr. Phil, you need Jesus! He’s the One who can talk to your family in the middle of the night, convict them of wrong behavior, and cause them to love you or forgive you. For those of you who are thinking NO WAY! You’re wrong! Jesus can do the impossible! If He walked on water, He can walk right in to your families lives and change them forever!
Stress is not Your Friend!
Stress isn’t what happens to us but stress is how we handle the situation. Some people are juggling health issues, financial disaster and relationship failures. Those are all stressful situations. But we don’t have to give in to the temptation of letting our emotions go crazy. Fixing our minds on the faithfulness of God lets us know that He’s going to get us through whatever we have to face. Just remember, life is made up of 10% what happens to us and 90% in how we react to it.
Moment of patience
Have you ever been pushed to the max? You can feel anger rising up inside, your face is getting red and all of a sudden you say something you shouldn’t?! “A moment of patience in a moment of anger prevents a thousand moments of regret.” We can’t take back our words…its’ like trying to stuff toothpaste back in the tube. It’s just not possible! Patience is a virtue. We would be smart to allow the Holy Spirit to develop it in our lives.
Wisdom and Integrity
Have you ever noticed how many paths are laid out before us every day? Wisdom is knowing the right path to take. And wisdom comes from walking in the fear of the Lord and filling ourselves with His Word. Wisdom is vital to our ability to walk in victory. But more importantly, it takes integrity to walk it out. A man or woman with integrity (moral uprightness and honesty) is a rare sight to the world but is a joy to God! Wisdom and integrity…don’t leave home without it!
Don’t Give Up
In the storms of life, if we keep going we won’t regret it. If we give up, we will. I wonder how many of us stop just short of seeing our victory. Regrets are a terrible thing to live with…I wish I had tried harder, talked to that person or listened more closely to God. It leaves so much unresolved. Never give up. You can do this. You can make the right decision, say the right things, walk through anything the devil throws in your path. And by faith, you will realize that victory is yours!
Love the One You’re With
”If we’re ignoring the people we love, we’re teaching them that they can live without us.” Uh-oh….the silent treatment, ignoring phone calls, not acknowledging someone’s presence…those will lead us to a place we don’t want to go. Too many of us are caught off guard when someone we love drifts away. We may not mean to ignore them…life just happens and we get too busy with other things. Enjoy the people you love!
