No More Bad Days

Do you know that you don’t ever have to have another “bad” day in your life? No, not one. You’re probably thinking I’m crazy for saying that BUT it’s true. Let me explain. Storms will come, difficult situations will arise, even tragedies can occur. The DAY isn’t the problem. It’s how we look at it. When we truly have the mind of Christ, we can look beyond the circumstances and realize that God’s got this! We may not understand what’s happening but we can CHOOSE to look at life through His eyes and know that you know that God has a bigger plan than we can see. There is one verse that gives us our “battle plan” for life. “This is the DAY that the Lord has made. I WILL rejoice and be glad in it”. I WILL…it’s a matter of choice.

Be a Better You

There’s always room to be a better person…always! We can always tuck in a little more joy, a little more peace and a whole lot more love. Sometimes being a better person involves some major changes in our character. If we’re meaner than a back water gar or a junk yard dog, it might be time for us to admit we don’t have the best disposition. Next step is to let God change us for the better! He created us to be MORE than we are at this exact moment in time…so remember, there’s always room for a better YOU.

Walk in Your Identity

When you walk in your true identity in Christ, you walk with confidence. And confidence is silent. It doesn’t brag or toot its own horn. Confidence is a beautiful thing to watch. However, insecurities are loud. People who talk about all they do and their “greatness” are insecure. Here’s a good way to check your insecurity level? How do you see yourself? Are you closer to saying you’re a grasshopper or a giant?

Pick Your Battles

My mom always told me to “pick my battles”. I gave that a lot of thought. You know, if we don’t have Jesus in our hearts, it’s easy to jump in and fight when things go wrong. And usually, we fight with our mouth and say things we regret later on….so “pick your battles” and remember that peace is better than being right every time. .

Learner not Loser

Never see yourself as a “loser”. Consider yourself a “learner” in the middle of those difficult times that come our way. Oh, the lessons I’ve learned the hard way. I’ll bet most of us could say the same thing. Let’s not just celebrate finally getting through life’s difficulties… let’s celebrate knowing that we learned some things in the process! And believe it or not, we will learn both good and bad but both will pay off down the road when we face a similar situation.

Let Go of Hurtful Words

It’s time to let “hurtful” words bounce off us like water off a duck’s back. If someone tries to belittle you…if they try to make you look and feel stupid, don’t go into defense mode. If we do that, we spend all our time trying to prove to them and everybody else that we’re really a good person. We think about every move we’re making and wonder if “that” person will be okay with our decisions and actions. Our destiny in Christ is too great to waste time trying to defend ourselves against unkind people.
