Be Real Not Perfect
We were born to be real, not to be perfect. Isn’t that a relief?! I’m afraid some of us get stuck in wanting to do everything perfectly and when it doesn’t work out that way, we feel like a failure. And the old devil can have a field day with us if we listen. My advice is: Don’t listen!! You are not a failure. Some of us have standards so high that we can’t even reach them. We are setting ourselves up to fail. So forget “being perfect”….being real is a whole lot easier.
Throw kindness
Today, throw kindness around like confetti! Picture yourself tossing kindness up in the air and falling on one person after another. As you walk through the store, visit a friend or sit in a restaurant, be sure your pockets are filled with handfuls of kindness. Then when you head home, toss that kindness on your kids, your spouse, the neighbors and all the animals in the area. They love kindness too! Oh, and make sure that every once in a while you toss some of that kindness on yourself…you deserve it, you little “confetti” thrower
Walk by Faith
You don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward. If you wait for God to give you all the details, you’ll wait a pretty long time! He gives you just enough information to get you started. The rest is called “walking by faith”. So trust God and step into your future. The rest will unfold as you need it.
End of Month
The end of another month has arrived. Let tomorrow be a new start, a new day to dream big dreams. You may feel stuck in a holding pattern and just can’t seem to get going. But God created you to “get up” and “get moving”. Never settle for less than what God has planned for you. Never be defeated by where you’ve come from because nothing can stop you from starting over but you. And one more thing…everything that you need to succeed in this life has been programmed in your spirit. So ready, set, go!
Arrange your Mind!
I just read about an old woman who was legally blind who was being take to her new room in the nursing home. When the director described the room, the old woman was as excited as an 8 year old with a new puppy. The director reminded her that she hadn’t even seen the room yet. Her answer was wonderful! “Whether I like my room or not doesn’t depend on how the furniture is arranged, it’s how I arrange my mind.” I’ve already decided to love it! Have you arranged your mind today to think good thoughts? You can stay in bed and think about all the things that are wrong with your body and with your life or you can get out of bed and be thankful for what IS right with your body and life…Time for a change of “mind”.
Expect the Best
Always waiting for the other shoe to drop instead of waiting on the Lord leads to a miserable life. Fear robs you of a positive attitude. What are you expecting? Bad news, a bad report, loss of a job, losing a spouse, being lonely, not having enough money to make it through this life? Expecting the worst is going to bring the worst! What would your life look like if you turned things around and starting expecting “better”, started looking for “answers”? Fear causes us to live in negativity and that’s like being mired down in clay! You’re stuck in your fear. Tomorrow is a new day. Instead of expecting the worst, expect God’s favor. He is always working in our lives and when we look for His hand, we will find Him.
