Confront those Obstacles

How we confront obstacles determines how our story ends! Think about the man who was carried by 4 men to the house where Jesus was and there was no way in! Most of us would stop there, but not those four! Somehow they figured out a way to “get him up and get him in”. What obstacle is standing in front of you today? Maybe it’s time for us to scale a wall, tear out a roof, or do whatever we need to do! But let’s not let anything stand in our path. Step back, take a deep breath, say a prayer and look for the way over it, under it, around it, or through it!! But never stop…We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!

Just One of those Days

Ever had one of those days when you wanted to run and hide? Ever had one of those days when everything that could go wrong DID go wrong? How did you handle it? If your answer is: I kept my cool, I thanked Jesus that He was walking me through it and I didn’t say or do anything I would later regret, then you, my friend, did exactly what God wanted you to do. Congratulations! Now for those of you who failed the test, I promise there will always be another chance to get it right…maybe tomorrow. So press on!

Pay It Forward

Do you know that when you give something to someone and instead of letting them pay you back, you tell them to pay it forward….you have given them the gift of being a “carrier” and a “courier”. As a “carrier”, you have given them the responsibility of always keeping their eyes open looking for someone else in need. They become a “courier” when they find that person and pass on the gift you gave them when they needed it most.

Be Kind

“We are all just walking each other home. Be kind”….when I read that thought this morning, I was reminded of childhood when we would all walk home together laughing and talking about the day and what we would do when we got home! And if we had really nice people to walk with, they would help carry our “load”. From now on, when I look at people, I’m going to remind myself that we are all just walking each other home….and I will be found laughing, talking about the day, talking about what to expect when I get home to Jesus…and best of all, I can help people carry their load until we get to where we’re going. How about you?

Kick off the “T”

I just read about a man who kept knocking the “T” off the word CAN’T. Dropping that one letter changed every outcome he had in life. What do you say? Is it mostly “can” or is it “can’t”. One of those words is coming in agreement with what God says about you. It sounds like this…”I CAN do all things through Christ which strengthens me”. If you find yourself speaking “can’t” on a regular basis, you might need to get your boots on and kick the “T” to the curb. It will always keep you in a place of defeat.

Faithfulness

Faithfulness in our life isn’t just about what we do for Jesus. It’s about who we are…this may surprise you, but God is more interested in our character than our works. Building our character is a life-time event and let’s face it! Works are easy compared to building a character
