Wag Tail, not Tongue

”The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tail instead of their tongue”. People who wag their tongue need to be avoided at all cost. Have you ever talked with someone who gossiped and felt like you needed to take a bath to get the dirt off of you? They told stories about anybody and everybody. Let’s face it, we’re just as guilty when we stand and listen. Those who gossip are operating in one of the activities God hates. So let’s be like that dog and wag our “tail” and not our tongue!

Walk forward!

”The hardest part about walking away is the not looking back” (J.Killian) It happened to Lot’s wife as she left the things and people she loved…and look what happened to her! Looking back fills us with desire for the things we’ve walked away from. It’s important we keep our eyes on where we’re going not where we’ve been or we’ll turn back

Strenth in Adversity

Strength is born in adversity. You may have lost the inning but I know that you’ll win the game. If you find yourself battling in any area, keep in mind that God is shaping you into a person of great strength. Oh, you’ll learn other things too. Seems to me that we can start thanking God for what He’s doing in our lives no matter what it looks like around us

This Too Shall Pass

The best thought to hold onto when life is spinning around you is: “This too shall pass”. So many things in our lives come and go. Life is seasonal …it’s like the weather in Wayne County. If you don’t like what’s happening today, stick around and 8 hours from now, it will be different. So wherever you are, hang in there. I know it looks bad and it feels even worse but “This too shall pass.” And while you’re waiting for it to pass, ask Jesus what you can learn in the middle of this mess. Don’t waste the experience.

Be Yourself

I don’t believe that you read something “by chance”. Everything is ordained by the One who created you. I want to speak to the ones of you who feel like you’re living a lie…you’re so tired of trying to be something that you’re not, so tired of trying to please everybody else and in the end losing who you really are. God created you to be you…wonderful, amazing you….not what somebody else THINKS you should be. Take a step back and realize what’s happening and don’t be afraid to listen to the One who made you special just like you are. He has a way of bringing out the best in us!

Want to be Happy?

It’s impossible to be selfish and happy at the same time. People who are selfish can never get enough, so they are in a continual state of “wanting more”. For those people, it’s all about them and their wants and desires. On the other hand, the happiest people on the face of the earth are givers. They give of their time, their talents, their finances and their heart. When they receive, they keep what they need and pass on the rest. Where the selfish are like the “Dead Sea”, a giver is like a thundering river full of life! Selfish people are never content always wanting more. Givers are always content and can be found blessing others on a daily basis.
