Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will….we doubt so many things. We doubt that God is moving in our lives. We doubt our ability to do anything of value. We doubt whether we will ever find our purpose in life. The problem with doubt is that it immobilizes us. It keeps us focused on US and not on GOD. Throw the doubt out! Remember that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Whatever you are, be a good one. Mom, dad, employer, employee, spouse…those are the obvious ones…but what about carpenter, cook, singer, pianist….the list is endless. What ARE you? If you’re a prayer warrior, be a good one. If you’re an encourager, be a good one. The Bible tells us whatever we do, do it with all our might.

Oh, how we have a tendency to find the one thing that’s wrong in our lives instead of seeing all that’s right! I especially see us doing that very thing where our self-image is concerned. Ask someone what they love about themselves and they will struggle. Ask them what they hate and you’d better grab a pen and paper because this could take a while. Our identity, our image, should come only from God and He joys in who we are! Don’t let one cloud obliterate the whole sky. You are amazing just like you are…don’t take my word for it. Ask the One who created you!

Overthinking will kill your happiness! Wishing you had said this, wishing you had kept your mouth shut, wishing you had worn different clothes to an event….our minds can spin with insecurity. Wondering if THEY thought we were stupid or wondering if THEY are angry with us will wear us out. We are trying to second guess our actions and our words. That’s exhausting. Talk to Jesus every day and ask Him to put the right words in your mouth. Then stop re-hashing the day! We all make mistakes and we all have those moments of total victory. It’s time to stop wasting time on things we can’t change.

  Do you ever think that you’re not growing fast enough in the kingdom of God? Do you look around and think everybody else is moving faster than you? It doesn’t matter how slow we go as long as we don’t stop. Never doubt that God is moving you along at YOUR pace. Stop looking at other people and their “walk”…trust God to take YOU where He wants you to go. REMEMBER: On a trip to a certain destination, it’s the journey that’s important! We miss so much looking at the destination and forget to look at all that surrounds us on a daily basis!

It’s foolish to complain about things we’re not willing to change. It would sound something like this: “Boy, I just hate being overweight…nothing fits me!” or “I wish I had a job but nobody would hire me even if I apply” or “I want to draw closer to God but I guess that ain’t happenin!”….Complaining about where we are is useless! Making a decision to take one small step to change what you’re complaining about will inspire you. After you master the first step, take another one…before long you won’t have anything to complain about because you changed your world one step at a time!
