Keep Walking
In the 23rd Psalm, it says: Yea, when I WALK through the valley of the shadow of death….Pay very close attention to the word “walk”. It didn’t say stop, and it didn’t say lay down or build a tent, it said just keep walking. Whatever you’re going through today, just lift your foot and keep walking. And at those times when you feel like you’re in a dark place and your strength is gone, remember Footprints in the Sand. When you walk with Jesus, there are two sets of footprints but when you just can’t go any further, Jesus says: “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you…Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it’s then that I carried you.” Rest in that thought today.
God Permits What He Hates
God sometimes permits what He hates in order to accomplish what He loves. Keep that in mind “And we KNOW that ALL things work together for good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
No Perfection
We will never make perfection in this lifetime. So, we have to stop trying to get there for ourselves and stop expecting it of others. Striving for perfection causes us to focus on what we can’t do instead of what we can do. It also keeps us from feeling successful…always reminding us of our failures.
Hard Life
Life has been hard for some people. To protect themselves, they put a wall around their heart. If all you see in someone is anger, fear, or low self-esteem, know that they’ve been through a lot. And deep inside is the “real” person. A pearl doesn’t lie on the seashore. If you want one you have to dive for it. If you want to see the “real” person, it’s going to take some effort.
You Are the Pilot
The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot. Never fear how short the days are. Fear wasting them. Ask God to keep you focused, teaching you to make the most of every moment.
Clean Slate
Today really is the first day of the rest of your life. Clean slate. Nothing else matters except what you do THIS day. So how about concentrate on MORE….more laughter, more kindness, more generosity and more love? Okay, I got you started…you take it from there and have a really good day!
