God Uses All Sizes

I was recently witness to a tow truck pulling a semi as it was stuck on the train tracks. It occurred to me that God uses the willing and the ones who walk in their purpose to help those who are supposedly strong and able. The tow truck wasn’t as big as that semi and the semi was carrying quite a load, but that big old truck needed the little truck’s help. The Lord Almighty says in Zechariah 4:6…not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit!! We can’t do things on our own. We can’t push through them expecting to see great results sometimes. We are mighty because of HIS spirit, not our own. (Sara Wylie)

Changed by Example

If we could only understand that the world is changed by our example, not our opinion. For most people it’s easier to give an opinion…we don’t have to do a thing except open our mouths and let the words fall out (sometimes without checking with the brain first!) Being an example requires time spent with Jesus, a refusal to walk and talk the way we used to and a mouth that knows when to stay silent.

Why Do You Buy?

Do you know that you buy what you buy for emotional reasons? The retailers spend good money figuring out how to appeal to people’s emotions in an effort to get them to buy, buy, buy! That’s just one more reason to be Spirit led instead of emotion driven. If we would pray before we make major life purchases, we would be filled with wisdom instead of “lust for things”. And we’d have a whole lot more money in our pocket at the end of the holiday!

God’s Got You Covered!

We think God is doing one or two things in our lives, but if we could see the big picture, we would know that thousands of details are being arranged by the God who loves us. He has planned an amazing future for each one of us! Never be discouraged when you can’t see how something could possibly work out…God has you covered!

God’s God Your Plan

God just released a revelation in my life. He’s got a plan. That plan is going to be different for you than it is for someone else. My plan may involve working a little bit harder just building my faith (getting healed instantaneously would be great too) and your plan may not. In fact, you can count on it. Your plan is going to be different than my plan. What an epiphany! How boring would it be if we were all on the same journey?! Sara Wylie Sara is my daughter-in-law and she is so right on! Each of our “paths” are different. I’m just glad they all take us to the same place…the feet of Jesus. Today, take a little time and ask God about the assignment He has for you! God’s got YOUR plan!  Melissa

Pray to See Good in People

Reminder: Pray to be able to see the best in people! This time of year, we may run into some pretty difficult personalities. As a matter of fact, I’d be shocked if we didn’t. The hustle and bustle isn’t exactly conducive to creating calm, sweet spirits so buckle down, say a prayer and look for the best!
