Saying Yes! No Excuses!

 

When the Spirit speaks…are you listening? Oh yes…I heard; “Get in the Word.”…loud and clear! Did I obey? Just like so many of the people in the biblical times…I whined…gave all kinds of excuses such as: “I don’t have time”…with all the “rules and regulations” to keep up with at work. “After all Lord, I go to church every Sunday that I’m not working, I read the one verse from my devotion book almost daily, I pray to and from work for my patients, families and co-workers.” “Oh Lord…what to do…when no longer able to meet the demands of my job?” Well, finally placing my future in your hands…that act of “submission”…we so struggle with! Little did I know…he had a second calling for my life! Now 13 ½ yrs. a stroke survivor…He has given me plenty of “time” to study His Word. As I read in Psalm 119:71; “it was good for me to be afflicted”… with this stroke. No God did not cause the stroke…he brought me through it!!! Satan, the deceiver, will lie…causing one to become “self-deceived”…I have been there…that’s why it is SO IMPORTANT that we “get in God’s Word”…to learn His Truths! Attend a Bible teaching church…a Bible study…HEAR the Word…Read the Word every day…His Truths will set you FREE my friends!! YES indeed!!! Blessings!!! Gayle Harrell
